raised in SF's Chinatown and a 1973 graduate of GWHS, Betty was a caring and thoughtful person who looked after the young and elderly.
She is survived by two sisters, a brother, and her parents. Then-SF Mayor Willie Brown declared Sep. 21, 2001 as BETTY ONG DAY, saying,
“When 180,000 San Franciscans say their prayers, they can say the angel, Betty Ong, by name.” Betty's sister Cathie Ong-Herrera
